It's been 9 years but I definitely remember White Bird hill! I was going the opposite direction from you, though - you had an easier climb going your way. The White Bird Motel used to be a cash-only operation, and the same for the other businesses in town - but that was 9 years ago. The ride to Riggins will be a gentle ride along the river once you climb out of the immediate valley. 9 months agoIt must have been really terrible if he had to stop every half mile! How awful! Great Britain has some very steep climbs but we’ve tried to avoid the places that are the worst. We also get off and walk when they are too steep.

9 months agoIt was grown in Medieval Europe for use in the wool trade but it is probably mostly considered a weed nowadays.
9 months agoIs it considered a weed? I don't think I've ever seen them anywhere before. For sure not at this height.
9 months agoIt is Teasel, used to be used to draw up the fibres on woven woolen cloth many hundreds of years ago.
