Sorry for the wind. Otherwise, it looks like a great day.

The American dollar is strong in Canada. I have to remind myself of that. Our room in Waterton was bigger, the bathroom, especially the shower, was as microscopic as Lake McDonald. Waterton ended up being cheaper. By the time they added the taxes on at Lake McDonald, it was over $300. a night.

I'm sure they would have been happy to finish their lunch, but we disturbed them when we came outside. Dee from the motel quickly cleaned up the remnants.

A friend told us many years ago that he's lived in Colorado all of his life and he can say with certainty that bears don't like Mexican food. It took Jacinto just a minute to get the joke!

I wouldn’t worry about tempting the grizzlies with fried chicken. They really prefer fresh meat. Oh, wait.

That’s Christa and Martin. They stayed within us (Warmshowers) for two nights last week at the start of their trip. Super nice couple! Small world.

Emergency food, but not choice by any means... except maybe the flowers.

Now I’m reading the info. They are food and medicine!

Not Alberta wild roses? I’m confused! I could see wide swaths of these plants along the roadsides. We bave wild roses also in Colorado, so I thought I knew what I was looking at. They will be amazing in full bloom. Right now there are only flowers here and there.

Everything is more expensive in Canada, and then there is a big premium for being at a top tier National Park. More expensive than the park lodge at Glacier?
