I figured as much. She submitted to the abuse of bumpy gravel in your birthday. That's probably enough.

She would hardly submit to abuse like that, of course. She’s sitting by the door where the WiFi is a bit stronger, hoping her upload will finish.

I,too, love riding on roads where events like that have taken place. In France in 2006 we saw the names Armstrong, Ulrich, Basso, Beloki on the road and I was thrilled. It was the steepest ride on our tour but it wasn't even a mountain stage on the Tour de France, rather it was part of their longest stage, when they rode 239 km from Pau to Revel.

Definitely. I sympathized with Rachael’s discomfort but it was a great place to be. So many roads like this here though.

I'd have been tempted to crash through the brush and see what cool critters could be found in that little spot of rushing...

Nards? Is that a Spanish term? GT didn’t recognize it. It doesn’t rhyme so well either.

Oh, maybe I misunderstood this scene. He did seem pretty perky when I pushed him back in the bag.

A big relief to all, I’m sure. A friend took pains to clarify what birthday suit meant, in case I didn’t know.

Actually the line was from the Golden Earring song called The Twilight Zone, which came out in the early 80s. But, as Jacquie indicated, their biggest hit was Radar Love. But you can be excused for not knowing. They weren't that good.

GBO is a bit horny to be sure. He ran after a buxom corkscrew in Italy you'll recall.

She's singing to herself:
Happy birthday to Scott
I'm gonna kick him in the nards...
