You’re right! It s a crowned crane. It looks like it’s making its grand entrance to me, sashaying down the staircase hoping someone will notice.
4 years agoWhich reminds me .. have you seen many people smoking when you've been out and about in the cities?
More or less than you'd see in los Estados Unidos?
I think they could be more accommodating to the unique workspace needs of the giraffe.
Any why is the crowned crane (?) taking the stairs? I do hope they allow flying in the building.
The wind was a bit unnerving alright, and so variable as we changed directions. It definitely added to the overall experience and its aura of mystery though.
4 years agoIsn’t this one evocative though? I wish the lighting had been just a bit better, but it’s good enough for our memories.
4 years agoThis ride felt like a time warp to me. So much visual stimulation (magically captured in photos, videos, and words), that I got lost in it all. Pretty cool feeling!
I imagine that the presence of high winds didn't make it entirely relaxing .. but what awesome scenery, lighting, ... and birds!
Oh, this one could also be the opening scene of a film ..
There have to be some interesting stories hiding in that building.
I imagine this photo as the opening scene of a film.
Beautiful shot with a mood that draws you in!
I’ve always got an eye out for them, but we have been lucky. Like with the ibexes, you need some luck to see them just by the road like this.
4 years agoHow lucky to have spotted so many beautiful feathered creatures on your tour!
4 years agoLove the ibis!
We'll - I like egrets too, but there's just something about that ibis ...
Nice to know you’re out there, Stewart. Thanks for keeping us company!
We keep talking about taking another tour up your way. We did a loop through southern Scotland and the Borderlands years ago and have meant to return ever since. One of these years.
They really are amazing sometimes, aren’t they? I was really lucky with this shot.
4 years agoLenticular clouds are some of the most amazing cloud formations. Love the dynamics and shapes they present over different topography.

I’m not sure about absolute numbers, but they’re more noticeable because they’re not as segregated as they are back home. It’s common to have people smoking at outdoor seating at restaurants and bars.
