Yes, the small critters can be pretty spectacular too alright. I was an entymologist wanna be growing up in West Virginia, but quit looking somewhere along the way. Having a camera in my hand has really refocused my attention.
6 years agoI can really identify with your comment about small flowers. I love to look closely at them. I have found the same with many small creatures like spiders and bugs; surprisingly beautiful when you look at them closely.
6 years agoAren’t they a wonderful group together though? We were lucky to get in - the concert’s been sold out for quite a while.
6 years agoOh, good point. Thanks!
6 years agoBeautiful building, but somehow I don't think it's that old!

I saw them on their first tour, but it doesn't seem possible that was 20 years ago. Wonderful musicians.
6 years agoHey, a younger brain! Thanks! Hearing that, I’m pretty sure I’ve never known what this was.
6 years agoSome kind of ceanothus (California lilac)?
6 years agoYup, I saw that and will be watching. Sorry you’re only circling the Central Massif though. I misread your initial post for the tour at first and thought you were aiming for it rather than evading it. Wonderful region.
6 years agoStay with us guys. In late May/early June we will be circling through Brittany and Normandy on our way back to Amsterdam.
6 years agoI'm actually already home by now. I'm thinking of doing something with the dandelion share bikes (cause my bike needs TLC and the sharebikes are interesting in and of themselves)
6 years agoYup. Not to late to join in. It would be great to see a fire or tw9 from Vietnam Nam!
6 years agoThanks for letting me know about this!
6 years agoIt’s a pretty subversive game, alright. I suspect that if I were here age I’d have been an addict too. Haylee tried to educate me also, without success. As a grandparent you don’t have that many rights - my urge is to slip it out of her hands and slip in a book instead.

Do let us know when you are in Canada. We have been following you since CGOAB. I think I remember you are going to the Rockies...a pretty amazing journey, but if you pass through western British Columbia on the way home we have a place for you to stay. We are in Victoria, which is a pretty, pretty spot. Keith and I are headed back to Europe on the bikes this fall and looking forward to it. Not sure yet where or if we will blog. We are just home from nine weeks in Australia (no bikes). Our youngest son has fallen hard for a girl with an Australian accent. Life sure has some curve balls, doesn’t it.
