1 year agoWe're big fans too.
1 year agoIt was fun seeing the restaurant in your photo, exactly as in the Mark Weins video. Mark is so indefatigably upbeat! He will go "Oh Wow" and have his eyes sparkle, for an In and Out burger, a Montreal bagel, or a burrito. He never ever says "oh, yuck", but I love that about him. Didn't know about his restaurant till now.

1 year agoAh, I'm glad you have discovered CycleBlaze. Great to reconnect with you again, Ted. Yes, it would be really fun to meet up in SEA. We will.
1 year agoTed, it's excellent to reconnect with you too. All the best, and hope for spring!
1 year agoBruce and Andrea, my pleasure to reconnect with you again. Always wonderful to read about your experiences. See you on the road the next SEA dry season (your wet season in the Pacific Northwest and my cold season in NYC)?!
1 year agoThank you, Gregg. I think the photos reflect our love for the Mekong River and being in Chiang Khong at our favorite guest house. We have always met nice people there. It's like being on vacation whenever we've stayed in Chiang Khong.

Beginning to understand this journal as a refuge in and of itself. While it might be true that luxury is the enemy of observation, I'll continue to flourish in the space, when observation is just too much to handle. I can sometimes let you two do that for me here. What a gift… Thank you so much
When it comes to bathrooms I can’t imagine any country doing them better than Japan.

Being as positive as Mark Weins is all the time is totally contagious. Should we all be as upbeat all the time. He just makes me smile.
