Hi Frank, nice to follow you ! I am at the Chao Lao beach now. Wow that high buildings in Phnom Phen. Was there in 2006 and then they were not there.....

I fully agree, Jan. But do you know the real reason why I keep going there? Mashed potatoes

Same Same as 8 years ago. A friendly and relaxed place always perfect to have a beer with view.

Thank you for your comment, Steve. I find your Hindu comparison most appropriate. I actually had my own photo of the piglets taken a few days before on my mind. Those particular ones did look a bit distressed - very likely due to the heat - otherwise people would say: How cute! ignoring they are raised for that sole same reason.....becoming meat. Harsh words, I know, but reality at the same time.

Well thats a step up from the Hello Kitty you're accustomed to. :)

Think you made the right choice to show this photo. Yes, it is disturbing to Western sensibilities, but to a Hindu a shot of cattle being raised for meat would be equally so.

That's a tester, Steve! I have never been to the part of the world you are talking about but I assume you were pulling your hats as much as Jan and I did about the incredible effort it was to build something giant like that almost 1000 years ago. Frank

These steps are the same steepness as the ones we encountered at the Mayan ruins at Coba. Probably from the same era also. Grampies
