Hi Frank, nice to follow you ! I am at the Chao Lao beach now. Wow that high buildings in Phnom Phen. Was there in 2006 and then they were not there.....

6 years agoI admire your beer to water ratio. :)
6 years agoI fully agree, Jan. But do you know the real reason why I keep going there? Mashed potatoes
6 years agoSame Same as 8 years ago. A friendly and relaxed place always perfect to have a beer with view.
6 years agoWow, what a difference compared to 2010

6 years agoVery true, Mark. I knew you would feel with me....
6 years agoThank you for your comment, Steve. I find your Hindu comparison most appropriate. I actually had my own photo of the piglets taken a few days before on my mind. Those particular ones did look a bit distressed - very likely due to the heat - otherwise people would say: How cute! ignoring they are raised for that sole same reason.....becoming meat. Harsh words, I know, but reality at the same time.
6 years agoWell thats a step up from the Hello Kitty you're accustomed to. :)
6 years agoThink you made the right choice to show this photo. Yes, it is disturbing to Western sensibilities, but to a Hindu a shot of cattle being raised for meat would be equally so.
6 years agoThat's a tester, Steve! I have never been to the part of the world you are talking about but I assume you were pulling your hats as much as Jan and I did about the incredible effort it was to build something giant like that almost 1000 years ago. Frank
6 years agoThese steps are the same steepness as the ones we encountered at the Mayan ruins at Coba. Probably from the same era also. Grampies
