I think it is the stall I mentioned. Is it at the turnoff from the beach road to the 7/11 ?

I think it´s been my fourth time through there, Andrew, and they seem to get more and bigger. I consider it almost blasphemy to call the whole area National Park. I am afraid we will see several more of them on our way to Nakhon Si Thammarat soon.....

Bob and I rode through there two years ago and took some similar photos. I know what you mean about the shrimp farms. A blight.

Clothes on and rescue suit, you see it everywhere in S.A. Asia

I couldn´t agree more with you, Bruce. I had three different choices (one spoonful each) at the "buffet" place which came 3 x 10 Baht plus 5 for the khao suai. And it was delicious! Different thing in the evening when I love being in the beach restaurants to join the Thais. But even here cost is not an issue. Yes, you pay considerably moe than along the street but it is usually quality stuff: I am addicted to those three dishes (full portions!): grilled squid, clams, pad pak kana (Chinese kale) which I had with rice, fried egg, some broth and two soft drinks. The bill: 440 Baht. Nothing wrong with that I would say.....

After many trips to Thailand I finally realized that the best food is also the cheapest food. The huge variety of prepared foods in stainless steel trays is always cheap, delicious and authentically Thai. I love your food photos but I'm getting pretty jealous.

Perfectly explained about the many greetings of people that pay attention to you. It is for sure nice, but sometimes and I think only cyclist can imagine, makes you feel tired.

I might indeed try that one out, Bruce, as I still have to get out of here again...

You might want to check out a free app. called Pocket Earth. It routed us through Bangkok from Sukumvit Rd to Mo Chit station up near Chatujak Market - ten miles through the heart of Bangkok and we actually loved the route.

I guess I have to familiarize myself more with all the various maps options that are available on the internet, Nic. I find it annoying to learn afterwards there would have been far better options....Thank you for your comment anyway, possibly somebody else will be able to take advantage of it!

You could have left Road 80 at Kiên Luong. There is a ferry over the canal and then you have a shorter ride to Ha Tien on a quieter road. It's all mapped in OpenStreetMap.
