It's unlikely you know the English homonym...

tosser

a stupid or unpleasant person

Well, could be Aleppo pines or Stone pines. Stone pines have pretty long needles, up to 12 inches, but I can't tell how long these are. And Stone pines eventually have an umbrella like top which makes me think these are more like Aleppo pines. The photo of the cones doesn't help a great deal since they appear to be at least two years old.

Not your Bill type identification is this! .....Well, could be this or then again, it could be that.

This is Spanish lavender, Lavandula stoechas, with its distinctive floofy hat.

It could be a wonderful place for a longer stay - some great hikes, a few exceptional but challenging bike rides, and of course just walking along the beach. I’m sure it gets a much different feel come Easter.

Yes, but not really - at least not like granitic Acadia, but I don’t know about the UP since I’ve never been north of Ludington. This photo doesn't really show it but the rocks here are reddish and I think sedimentary. The next day’s post of the ride to Palamos gives a better look.

True. It's just always sad to me to see a place where light used to be admitted now made opaque. I always assume the room is darker and somehow less cheerful as a result.

Yes, but how much can you expect from a structure built three centuries before Columbus ‘discovered’ America? I like that the frame has been so well preserved.

Great video! With that and the stunning photos, I can imagine hanging out there during some off season.

What!? We had lunch in Sant Feliu de Guixols earlier today. The stage just finished fifteen minutes ago. The stage started from here about one, not long after we arrived in town. Amazing.

If you were heading to Sant Feliu, you could have caught stage 1 of the Volta Catalunya race.

Love the color combination of the roof tiles and the water!

I'm always saddened to see windows-no-longer.

At first glance that looks almost like the coast of Maine, in Acadia National Park, or parts of the shore of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
