Those paving stones look like they'd be as slick as schist when wet...
2 years agoDon said - so is this a case of ML (Murphy's Law) or SH (S....Happens)?! You have a surprisingly positive attitude about this. I'd be stressed out for sure but then finding a replacement box for our tandem would be nigh on impossible in Europe. Good luck
2 years agoYou got me stumped. What does Adrien mean?
2 years agoThanks!
2 years agoIt really is weird, Scott has updated the post with the screwed up calendar entry that led to the whole fiasco.
2 years agoYou’re right, we just wanted to spice things up a bit. Scott has updated the post with the screwed up calendar entry that led to the whole fiasco
2 years agoOh, this is like a Poirot mystery. Mme Guillautin sounds like a shady character in the plot. I hope she is not boarding a cruise ship bound for Africa right now, using your suitcases!
2 years agoThat was a lucky catch, alright. I took a few shots of her, but this was the most fun.
2 years agoI'm on tenterhooks, rather hoping the situation is resolved soon! We will be sending our bike cases, likely via UPS, from Florence to a hotel near the Venice airport in May. I realize your suitcases have travelled unaccompanied many times and reached their destinations intact.
2 years agoAdrien!!!! Happy Birthday, Champ.
2 years agoHappy belated birthday, Rachael!
2 years agoThat face! I suspect my expression might be similar if it were me, though.
2 years agoThat's the worst part of this pandemic for me: missing out on two years of touring. Had I known, I would have simply taken a leave and worked for one or two more years.
2 years agoAh, yes. I remember reading your journal because we did the first half of the Andersons' Alps tour the same year--and met someone else doing it at the same time. Sadly, we only had 3 weeks, the most Al could get off at one time.
Very good coattails to follow!
Ha, ha. Actually they don’t seem too bad though. There’s more texture to the surface than it looks like here.
