That's an especially dramatic photo.

Might be flax

I’ve found it, on a reference on varieties of traditional French architecture. It’s cob (mixed straw, clay, animal manure, sand, and lime ). Half-timbered houses filled with cob were common in northern France and Britain, so I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of these.

Thanks! I can’t remember if I’ve seen it in bloom before, but it looks like it from other photos and we’re in the right spot for it. it’s grown commercially in this part of France and Flanders and typically blooms in early June.

It looks like flax but a closer shot would be helpful.

Yup. It went AWOL on the morning we left for Senlis - the night before actually, but I hadn’t realized it yet. Yay, Susan indeed! My hero!

Love this photo!

I've missed some posts and this makes me wonder which Adventures of The Pendleton I have missed ...

I laughed out loud. Well played, Susan.

It would fit in the apartment but I doubt you get it up the twisty stay case to the 3rd flight. I’m barely made it with my bike Friday!

Right. There’s a lot of information exposed here, alright. Like a cadaver in anatomy class.

I was quite proud of myself.

Bravo. That looks like the classic IKEA drying rack. I believe it took me a fair bit to figure it out as well.

Looks like clay with some sort of plaster/stucco material over it.

Oh yes, sorry. I forgot that you did say you forgot to take your meds. I freak out easily when it comes to heat stroke since I've had it four times!
