Again a gorgeous ride! But a missing Garmin, oh no! What are you going to do?

Us also. Unless it’s really shallow and you can see the bottom. You never know what terrors lurk in those depths.

Really, it’s the cuisine.

It was a fine day, that’s for sure. The surprising thing was that seeing that magnificent cirque again wasn’t even the best of it. It’s always the unexpected that makes a day special.

Ah, the seemingly magical powers of blogging and touring I asked about have fairly reasonable explanations. But I think at your ages and with your experience you now have a claim to being "master" tourers. Your feats may be explainable but they remain remarkable!

It's got to be with those pipes.

Ahhhh. Been there, done that! I always walk. Leave the riding to braver souls.

1. I select and load the photos at night, but do most of my writing in the AM now, mostly after breakfast and over coffee. I’ve been thinking it over in the meantime though and bring some ideas to the table. It helps that mornings have been cold and we’re in no rush now. When it starts warming up I’ll probably lose some sleep or change the pattern. And nobody bothered me with French conversation the morning I wrote this - I’m describing the day before.

2. The map = our Garmin. We haven’t carried a paper map of any kind for years now.

3. You’ve read the next day by now, and answered your own question.

He’s still young, thinks he’s been dealt an indestructible head. Guys!

Not much yet, from the look of it. Hopefully they’ll start sprouting soon.
