I remember being a bit disappointed there, too.

It's a duck. That wasn't so hard. :)

Is this the bike path from Le Pouzin to Privas? On Google Maps it’s labeled as Voie Douce de la Peyre, but it think it might be the same thing or a part of it at least. Yes, I had seen that. Our tentative plan includes a two night stay in Le Pouzin and an OAB up this thing. It looks like a great day ride.

Scott, have you ever heard of La Dolce Via? It's kind of on your way. Not to complicate your life or anything. :)

Well I did say Up the Rhine, perhaps. Or perhaps not.

With the exception of the first part your proposed route is identical to the one we took on out last tour from Avignon to Lake Annecy. We really enjoyed it and you will too. Your caption under your route says Rhine by the way. Glad the bike issue has been resolved and the missing Garmin made its appearance. Smooth sailing!

The natural color of the sky is blue enough as it is. The photo above this one is closer to its natural hue on this day.

It may be a fraud but it's sure pleasing to my eye.

You should come to southern France. Things look different here.

No filter, but it’s a fraud. I shoot everything with essentially a point and shoot, invariably using its autofocus function because it’s smarter than I am. Afterwards though I load the photos to the iPad and use its editor to crop and adjust the exposure and contrast to highlight the primary subject. It will definitely intensify the sky, but that’s not really the intent.

Having seen similarly stunning shades of deep, deep blue in many of your other photos, I have to ask: are you using a filter of some sort? That is the deepest, richest, most incredibly blue sky I can remember ever seeing.

I'm so glad at least two of your ordeals have ended. But I wonder where those suitcases ended up. Too bad they don't have tracking devices in them. It would be fun to see what route they took.

Here's to an ordeal-free rest of your tour!

We do like to put up a good story but it’s time to move on. Four days on that plot line are sufficient, we think.

Team Anderson you have a knack for keeping it interesting. Your problem solving skills are legendary and you always land on your feet! Congratulations on your latest winning streak. But remember even a cat only has nine lives.

I think the main difficulty is in getting them out on the radweg - until they can pedal their own bikes you need trailabike type stuff. Is there anything else one does with kids that takes up time? Hmm, let me think!

Yes, five kids. That’s the ticket! Just the thing to fill all those empty hours in our lives.
