Oh I am so envious. We absolutely love Annecy. Isn’t that track around the lake amazing? We have spent some time this evening starting to get serious about a fall tour.

Hi Scott and Rachael! Very much enjoying following you on your tour!
I feel I may be recovered enough from my shoulder injury by September and starting to think maybe we could plan for a tour. You completely sold me on your Germany stint last year but now I'm loving the look of this part of France. You make it very difficult with your philosophy of love the one you're with and win me over every time. So here's a question ... where would you choose to go for a month in September, given my newly acquired dislike for gravel? Is that too difficult a question? All the paved paths you're on now are very appealing. Would it be too cold in September?

Isn’t it enough that he’s got the Airstream?

No, and we haven’t been to Gruffy either. You had me wondering though so I went back to check how we got from Annecy to Le Bourget in ‘95 thinking I might have forgotten. We went over the top though, cl8mbing up to Semnoz at 5,400’, and then mostly coasted for the next 30 miles. We would have passed the turnoff to this bridge and come within a mile of it, but we just sailed on by.

If memory serves me correctly, haven't you crossed this bridge before during a previous tour? For some reason, this picture seems familiar.

I could give a thoughtful reply here, but there’s no time.

Hi Scott and Rachel
Time constraints. I was glad to hear your days are full too. You didn’t mention you also have time to not only read but comment on others’ blogs. Frankly, you guys seem to be able to keep on top of your travelling life, and still keep up with your blog. We are always running a few days behind.

Hey, thanks! Sounds more plausible than my first thought. I misunderstood genre, and thought maybe it was a place that accepted all genders.

This will be a woodturner I think.

Matches nicely with photos of common spotted orchid.
