How cool to go to college in Rome!

Neither do we! Rereading this just stresses us out all over again.

This post raised my blood pressure. I'm exhausted. I don't know how you guys do it.

Thanks, Fern! That’s right on our route to the train station. And thanks for following!

Looks like Piazza dell’Esquilino with rear of Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore. We stayed at the nearby BW Hotel Universo on our tour in September and passed this frequently.

What a whirlwind!

Our youngest daughter graduated from John Cabot University, about a mile from the Vatican back in.... ummm, maybe '06? We went to her graduation and she drove us all over the place from Venice to Rome. Lots of memories from those 2 weeks were revived. Thanks!

Okay. Even reading this I am stressed out about your train station experience. Brings back panicked memories for myself and Sue.

The drivers are really crazy here compared to other places in Italy. The last 2 days I’ve gone on some beautiful hikes and it’s been great not to have to deal with traffic. Drivers are definitely better in Portland but the homeless situation is very bad! A lot of the bike routes are filled with homeless people that are dangerous.

No new hairstyle. I have my hair in a ponytail and my helmet must be on funny. Good to hear it looks chic!

Yikes - a heart pounding train experience AND riding in the dark in traffic! So glad you made it safely to Viterbo. Unfortunately, you’ll soon be back in US where it seems all the cars are big. Wishing you a safe and uneventful trip back to Portland

OMG what a harrowing day! But you made it! Time to go home? The weather says so, but I'm sad that your journey is coming to an end. When are you going to get that long visa? Then you can hang out in Andalucia when the weather turns cold further north. Btw, do I detect that Rachael has a new chic hair style? Where are some close ups?

Not sure you'll find the same architectural standards here!

Thanks! And yes, we did know that - or at least Rachael does, who manages the devices after I create the routes.

Good job on the itinerary change!

In case you haven't tried this yet, you can create a route in RWGPS and "pin" it (using the website or the app). It will then copy to your Garmin device the next time it syncs.

Your photo was pretty good, but available internet info... not so much.

I could easily see they were not invasive RES or snappers and also could see they are not native pond turtles. Doubtful a perfect closeup would have been any better for ID.
