Me too. I couldn’t believe it when I stepped out the door and looked up.

Leftover pizza with a pastry chaser ... ah the privileges of distance cycling.

The scenery is so stunning, it looks fake. What an incredible experience!

You've been getting astoundingly beautiful photos and it's not simply because you are in an astoundingly beautiful place.

Not to worry, we were forewarned from reading about your unnerving ride. It wasn’t too bad, really (the traffic, not the killer climb). We biked up early enough in the day that it was still pretty quiet.

We thought about you two all day long. We had brilliant weather, and we felt bad for you that you didn’t get a better look yourselves. I TOLD you that you should have waited up for us!

Hope you guys made it to Toblach in one piece. I should have warned you about the crazy bus driver making runs from Toblach to Tres Cime. A great driver but thought he was Parnelli Jones complete with racing gloves. Passing everything he could on the way up the mountain including another bus. He really drove the bus as though it were a race car. The hairs pin turns were crazy crazy. One the plus side he had a great personality.

It’s stunning, alright. We’ve got a wonderful spell of clear weather that looks like it will hold for a few days yet - hopefully to see us through sella Ronda. This morning we’re going to leave our luggage at the hotel and (try to, at least) bike up to Tre Cime for the hike. I imagine we’ll freeze on the way down.

It really is a spectacular area isn’t it?Glad you guys have clear blue skies to really take it all in ... albeit on the cool side. We also enjoyed clear blue skies on the Drau today.

Yup. Rachael looked around to make sure no one was looking and then went into her happy dance.

Just lucky. I was focused on trying to get his face, and the pigeon was just a bonus.

It’s pretty amazing, alright. They’re all just still, calm and rapt.
