You’re right! Never occurred to me. Not sure it’s that wise though in a land where I don’t speak the language.
6 years agoWe encountered, 'Too-steep-to-ride-down.' in northern Thailand. Frustrating after making it to the top and to not get the exhilarating reward.

6 years agoIt gave me pause also. All the way down I was keeping an eye for places to crash land if my brakes failed.
6 years agoOddly enough, I don’t even care for jam so much and don’t have much of a sweet tooth. Rachael did us proud though.
And yes, I did notice that we’re moving up the charts. Today the Grampies, tomorrow the Grumbys! And shame on Dodie, who should show more team loyalty. We hope her recovery is still progressing well though.
Even with our e assist this would be impossible going up, and scary as he'll going down.

6 years agoWell, no - I can’t say I questioned my routing choices all that much today. A bit of adventure as good for you and keeps you young, right? Although Rachael had her own thoughts on the matter. It’s funny about the portage shot - I almost commented on her focused expression myself.
Great to have you following along. We both feel so lucky to be doing this, and are glad to be sharing the experience.
Don’t tell Rocky, but I plan out days like this. Always looking for a bit of drama in the journal on a slow news day.
