Thanks for identifying this correctly, Keith. It doesnt really look like part of the cathedral itself, but I couldn’t find a name for it on the map. After seeing the fortresslike cathedral in Agde I thought they might be a package.

Pretty sure this is The Sicilian Clan (Le Clan des Sicilians) - it’s what they told me at the cafe, and the photo matches the poster for the film. We haven’t seen either of them though, and both sound great. We’ll have to see if we can find them when we get home this winter.

Hi again,
A pic from one of France's favorite movies, les Tontons Flinguers ( Pistol Packing Uncles). Jean Gabin was the capo in the movie.
Cheers,
Keith

Hi Scott,
Nice ribbon on the chateau in Narbonne. Last time I was there there was a small musical group playing Charles Trenet songs just in front of it. The building is the old palais of the archbishop. The Cathedral is behind it about a block away.
Cheers,
Keith

Nope. When you’re as old as I am, every ounce matters!

Now that’s funny; and reminds me of a worse time in Spain long ago, when I found myself staring at two complete bottles of wine. Mon du!

Oh, I missed that. Thank the spell checker for it, I actually know better. In my defense, that’s the part of the statement she understood.

Of course, there was the time in Germany I tried to order a 200 ml glass of wine (instead of the other option, 100 ml), and ended up with two of them. At least it was with dinner.

Deux, not du! Different pronunciations, I think, but I'll leave that comment so someone whose French is better than mine.

Merci! I knew there was a better way, after experiencing two defeats.

Perfect last shot!

Scott,

More French lesson: Just say "Nous sommes deux." You'll sound like a Frenchman and avoid the word that is easy to confuse. On the other hand there is nothing wrong with "deux pressions," maybe it is a mistake that you make subconsciously on purpose.

Yes! That’s just what I thought.
