Rachel and Scott,
Your blog and your connected adventures were really a great read; thank you for sharing! I was interested in it since I've been to most of the places you've visited from Trieste onwards. The only big difference is that it took us several holidays to complete it all...
When you have time, would you please let me know the most differences in blogging on CGOAB and here?
Ciao
Valter
Actually, we do it the other way around. We draw the route in advance on RideWithGPS, and then load it onto our GPS device. And yes, we (actually Rachael) has figured out how to do this, using her iPhone as a transfer medium. I don’t know how she does it. It’s magic, but if you want we could get her to explain what she’s doing for you.
5 years agoThank you, Scott. I hoped you'd found a way to transfer your riding data directly from the GPS navigator, same as you can do with a laptop :-(
5 years agoIt took me awhile also Valter, and some coaching. Once you get the method down though, it’s very easy. Use RideWithGPS to draw your route (we just use the free version). Open your route in the View mode, select Share, then select Get Custom Embed, then copy the text string from the Embed Text window. Then, back in CycleBlaze, select the globe icon and paste the embed text into the pop up window.
5 years agoI've read you are using an iPad for blogging, same as I do. How did you solve the problem of transferring the route from you GPS device to the blog? I'm really interested, because I've never found out how to do it.

Yes, Steve. As a native speaker I confirm your opinion.
I don't know how old it is, but sure it was built before 1959, when Taurus stopped producing motor bikes.
I've been biking there at least 4 times in my life going to different destinations. But you make me wish to come back for a 5th time :-) PS: the Via Claudia Augusta connects Venice to Würzburg (not Salzburg; but never mind, we can accept such minor geographical inaccuracies from visitors from the other side of the pond). 5 years agoOh, what a shame that we missed each other. We would have loved that! There’s a fair chance we’ll make it back that way in a few years, so keep in touch. Thanks for checking int.
Cheers,
Scott
Hi Team Anderson! I didn't know you had moved here from CGOAB. Otherwise it would have been great to meet you: I live in this town.
Happy pedalling!

Thanks again for following along and encouraging us, David. On to the Orient!
5 years agoSo disappointing. I was sure I’d found a new variety of eggplant.
5 years agoLooks like seeds pods on some variety of yucca. I've seen these before on other varieties.
5 years agoScott and Rachel,
Somewhere I read: There is no hyperbole in the Alps.
Sounds like the perfect theme for your journey. Bonne continuation.

We passed through Banyoles on our first Pyrenees tour also, n our way from Begur to Besalu. I didn’t really care for it then either. The town that doesn’t want you to leave? I like that. The place sucks.

Thanks again for joining us, Valter. I’m really sorry that we didn’t get a chance to visit when we were passing through your town last fall. Maybe one of these years.
5 years agoI forget a bit now what it was like posting on CBOAB. It’s been over a year since I left that site. I don’t really care to go into why I left, but I definitely prefer CycleBlaze now. One obvious difference is the look and feel. I like the appearance much better, and now that I know my way around, I find it easier to use also.
