I believe lousewort is correct. At least it matches well with photos!

Well, you didn’t miss much. Come back in a few years.
6 years agoAnd when I came by (eastbound) five days later, it was a steady stream of RVs heading west to the mountains, containing Calgarians getting a head start on the long weekend.
6 years agoI rode by this site on Friday last week (August 3) and noticed the sign but didn't stop and look for the church. I thought it was way off the road since nothing was visible, and I was on my way from Banff to Calgary.
6 years agoI hear that Hospital #6 in Danang treats grossly swollen hand injuries. Can’t remember who told me that.
6 years agoYup. It looks really gross this morning - fat, red, blistered. We went to the emergency room in Revelstoke this morning to make sure it wasn’t some flesh eating bacteria horror. Just a severe allergic reaction, but she’s got a prednisone prescription to speed up healing. No biking today - she can’t brake with that hand - so we’re going for a hike in Revelstoke NP. Good thing we kept the Jetta with us!
6 years agoJust beautiful country. Not as earth-shattering as Jasper but the quieter roads and isolation make up for it, in my opinion.
6 years agoOh no!
The yellow jackets have definitely arrived down here in Montana as well.
Not in and of itself, no. These things do add up though. Perhaps you should purchase some indulgences just to be on the safe side.
6 years agoI was there and some guy was feeding the sheep Cheetos or something. I secretly hoped one of them would knock him on his arse. Does that make me a bad person?
6 years agoThat is amazing.
6 years agoIn the 80s we lived in rural Montana with a party line. Each of us had a different ring, and you called your neighbor (also on the party line) by calling them, listening for the ring, hanging up, then picking back up again when you thought they may have answered the phone. We had some awful gabby people on our party line, which tied up the phone, and also some incredibly nosy ones, who listened in.

Yay for prednisone and the Canadian medical system. Hope the healing continues and Rachael is soon back at full power.
