That place was a bit too much we are much better in a room like we have at the moment. You proposed must be just about to leave?

Tricia so interested to seeing you're heading in the direction we've planned (we'll be battling the same westerly winds all the way from Germany into Belgium). We will be approaching Lille from Mons then heading to Arras and through the Somme, along the Somme river and checking out all the war sites, to Amiens and Beauvais. Is that where you're heading?

And the wise use the elevators. We have learned our lesson with a couple near misses using escalators. Enjoying following along… you two are very inspiring. Glad your fall was only a pride issue. Safe travels!!!

Those motion activated lights are presumably a good environmental measure, but they can be so annoying. My "favourite" is when the lights turn on when you enter a toilette room, and then turn off, leaving you in pitch dark, because the motion sensor can not see you in the stall!

I hope you have a good day off the bikes tomorrow. My great-uncle is buried in Estaires Commonwealth War Graveyard not so far south of you. I just thought of him , reading that you have reached Iepre.

Just the wrong way to go. We have been constantly going west. Have a short day tomorrow and then will have a day off

Oh boy, you've been unlucky with the head winds! That first week after Bremen was the worst for us, and today we were travelling east. Enjoy your penthouse!

I don’t like riding in big cities full of tourists who never look where the are going!

The soft focus helps to illustrate how your brain must have felt!

We have often dreamed of having something off our left side to fend off cars. It looks like Ken has achieved it, with your crutch!

That name Radisson "Park Inn" certainly confused us at the Frankfurt Airport. We sort of thought a park might be involved. In truth the place was surrounded by big roads and it was impossible to bike, or even walk to it!
