I wonder if that would be effective in horizontal rain, like we get in southwest BC in the winter.

3 months agoThat bag sounds interesting, although our Seavo is not coupled. We had a hard sided case that fit our Screamer which did have couplers. We only flew with that tandem a few times in the US and despite the hard case, had damage to the wheels a couple of times. We're no longer touring since we bought an Airstream trailer and are only doing day rides. But I love reading about your travels!

3 months agoWelcome back to HOME. Thank you SO much for all of your travels which were a pure delight to read. I will be in the Netherlands heading on a bike to Germany the first week of September. Hoping not to repeat your washouts and winds !

3 months agoAha! But will they GROW at home? Mine from Keukenhof never bloomed. Big disappointment. I think the flowers know they are not in their âown soilâ..;)

We had to do that too; they sure don't make it easy. Then, when they changed our flight, our bike registrations weren't automatically changed as well.
3 months agoHowever, while the bike fee is higher than Air Canada's $50, it is still much lower than Lufthansa's was. It seems Lufthansa has recently changed their bike policy but we haven't tested it.
