Brutal!! Poor us! It wasn’t all that bad really - nothing like you rwomexperienced in Portugal. Those giant reeds really whip around and make it look dramatic though.

As always, really enjoying reading your travels. Hope the remaining weeks go smoothly. I'm watching the news closely too. Hoping for a better future for our neighbours to the south!

Oh my goodness. The wind at the beginning of the video! Lots of work, that kind of wind.

Thanks Scott. We have a photo just like this from eleven years ago (November 14th). Brings back fond memories!

Wonderful that y'all were able to get together!

I love to imagine the web of connection woven by the community of cycle tourers.

Riders, writing riders, readers, and all the stories (and photos and videos!) that are passed along to fellow pedalers and the friends, families, and fans of pedalers.

(Not to be confused with peddlers!)

Yes! A must-stop with those ribbons of color and the moody sky.

Another wonderful city to explore, thanks for the photos and info. Definitely want to visit too.

A gloomy passage on cloudy days.

I saw that, when I Googled him. Definitely a man capable of thinking outside the box.

Geary’s buildings are all fascinating. This is maybe the sixth or seventh one we’ve seen now, and they’re always exceptional.

That building is fascinating. It looks like a drawing from a children's book of some sort. I can see why you were transfixed.

The same place! You were dry here to make up for how drenched you got back in Sommieres.

What a trip this has been! So many familiar faces! Must be some kind of record...

Hey, we stayed at that hotel in November 2011. Glad to hear they're still going. I remember having to park our Bike Fridays in the uncovered atrium. Luckily it didn't rain--in fact it was beautiful weather for mid-November.
