I hesitate to ID fungi, but this really looks like what the German mushroom hunter I knew called parasolpilz.

2 years agoI think so too, but I think there’s more to it. The entire flock is oriented exactly the same way, their heads tucked back away from the wind. It’s like the fifty names for snow. There’s sleep, in endless variations.
