Don’t think it is for birds. Because they don’t even net their grapes. Maybe it is to stop sun damage seemed to be only on apples

We did enjoy meeting you those years ago. Sounds a big trip you have planned this year. I do hope you will post it. Good luck

Oh no! That sounded very scary! So glad there was a good outcome.

We have often seen this. Perhaps it is to prevent birds from nibbling the fruit?

Hi Tricia and Ken,
So pleased to see you back in Europe again this year. And as Rudolph inspired you, you guys inspired me to give cycling touring a go 12 years ago. And of course the rest is history. Hopefully we dill catch up again one of these years, as we did in Bayeaux , Franc e all those years ago. Our cycle this year is from Austria to Scotland and we hope to go r Scotland through France next year and return to Austria. Keep safe and enjoy. XX

Luckily there was no current at all and a perfectly paved path underneath

Up to his handlebars? That’s terrifying. Lucky he didn’t get washed away.

Lucky we weren’t going to a park run and had to hurry. That tunnel you commented on was on the Hauraki Rail trail not Spooners though they look alike

Oh dear...but disaster averted!

It’s a fantastic place and the Hotel medieval ( apart from closed restaurant on Monday) is really great. So glad we stopped had ridden through it before but not stopped. We need to do age appropriate distances!

You stayed in Rochemaure! We biked past it on our way north up the Rhone two years ago and were amazed by it. We’d have loved to stay there and will do so if we’re ever back this way.
