Much better detail in this photo! Definitely pines, and looking at images, seems to match well with stone pine.

2 years agoThey look like they would be evergreens but I looked up pinsapo and though we might have seen them around Grazalema, we wouldn’t have noticed because pinsapos are the typical conical tree shape, based on the pictures in Wikipedia. These spherical trees are also at a much lower elevation.
2 years agoAre they evergreens? If so, I think they must be pinsapo (also known as Spanish fir), a tree native to a few regions in Andalucia and in Morocco. It only grows at high elevations, such as around Grazalema.
