Ben Parke commented on Radweg Reviews - now with video!

The website I use is epidemicsound.com. There was a deal with gopro users getting free access to the website. I don't recall now how I got to that access. Something I found looking through features after registering.

You have some great using on your videos! I’m looking for some music for my rides in Germany, do you have some recommendations?

At the time of booking, yes. Prices more than doubled with delta compared to my last trip. The next closest I think was Iceland Air who ironically ended being the ones to bring the bike over after condor failed to notice it didn’t make the plane. I’m not sure what Condor prices are running right now. Given the dicey financial position they’re in I wouldn’t book with them even if the bike incident hadn’t occurred simply because I don’t fancy being stranded like people with Thomas Cooke bookings have found themselves. I enjoy Europe, but at the end of my trips I also enjoy arriving home in a timely manner.

Was Condor a lot cheaper than the next highest quote that you found?

I believe Betrüger is the word you were looking for as the e-bikes climb the mountains ...

I guess at least you can hear scooters coming. Those race bikes sneak up on you and, whoosh. The doddery ones are fine as long as they keep a reasonably straight line as I poke past.

Yes, the fly in the ointment for wonderful Netherlands is that they allow scooters on the bike paths. Those things really boot it, as you say, are noisy, and seriously dangerous. The next most dangerous things are young men on ultralight bikes racing along paths that also support pedestrians and doddery old folks on bikes, like us!

I love all the window boxes full of flowers that they have ... I wonder who waters all of those!

Interesting. As a side note, the gentleman at the hotel desk in Nürnberg said a new law was passed allowing mopeds on bike paths. Hopefully that does not lead to more throttle assist bike usage and also to a lot of mopeds on bike paths. I did have a couple mopeds pass going the opposite way today. I found it noisy and a distraction from the otherwise very nice scenery.
