I like it when you put a face with the people you mention in your blog. People are often just as interesting as places...

Hehe, as I was reading about your breakfast encounter, I immediately started to mentally compose a comment about steroid-induced anger, but you beat me to it!

IDK what this particular machine does, but I was told that they are so tall so they can go down rows of corn. Spraying pesticides?

Hmm. It's possible I might be exceeding the recommended daily allowances in certain categories.

It’s nice to hear from someone else who seldom pumps up their tires. I’m always hesitant to touch them in case something goes wrong.

Speaking for all of your readers of the male persuasion, I think we need some pictures of your tires so that we can offer you the proper amount of unwanted advice. :)

"so empty you can hear the corn grow."

Perhaps you know this already, but you actually CAN hear the corn grow; https://www.cycleblaze.com/journals/warriordeath1/day-34-rest-day-in-muscatine-ia/

"I drank the Diet Pepsi that I'd saved from yesterday, and the remainder of the half gallon of chocolate milk that I'd purchased yesterday afternoon."

Do you EVEN know what that sounds like?
Does your stomach??

Welcome to Minnesota--home of your new favorite snack, Pearson's Salted Nut Roll. It was nice to see you got a small glimpse of what one Cycleblazer called "Minnesota's least popular sector." As soon as you cross Interstate 35 today, you'll be into the slightly more popular southeast sector, and judging by your normal daily mileage, you'll probably be in the very popular Mississippi River Bluffs sector by the end of the day. If I had any idea what unmaintained roads you'll be riding, I'd consider driving down there to say "hi" and to straighten you out about the mean things you said about my hometown of Rock Valley, Iowa.

(Sorry, I couldn't resist getting back at you for claiming Warren, Illinois as your hometown after I ripped on that poor little community in my journal.)

My impression is that this is a years-long project that may not ever reach the water. I don't see any recent updates on the website.
