As you said, "OMG." I might have said, "WTF."

But, as a reader, I compliment you on such an adventurous ride.

WinniCargo. (I made that name up the second I saw this picture.)

Maverik recently bought out Kum and Go and is now in the process of rebranding all the stores

Hi Rich,

My preference is for very lightly traveled roads, but the last few days it didn't work out, and I rode on the shoulder of I-80 for a bunch of miles!

There just aren't enough roads through this part of Wyoming. If I'd planned this more, I could have avoided I-80 yesterday and today, but I didn't.

I’ve been following the routing with interest, too. Especially the past couple of days. I’ve never wanted to do a coast-to-coast made up of long days on busy highways. But this route is turning into something I’d like to do someday. I love the dirt/gravel roads!

My route is a north-south border to border route. The only section we would overlap is the Little America to Green River portion. Since you have already moved on east of Green River, I don't think my maps will be helpful, UNLESS you had opted to go south through western Colorado to Dove Creek and then follow the Western Express route eastward to Pueblo - that's not a very direct route for your plan. Here's my RWGPS collection of all the maps for my planned route; https://ridewithgps.com/collections/1884555?privacy_code=fKqFi5y3jSc19AUf

Hey George,

I'd be interested in hearing more about your route. I'm basically making mine up as I go along. Maybe some of what you're planning would be useful to me (but reversing the direction?

Such a deal! You should pick up some and save it for a rainy day.

Interesting, I paid close attention to your pics today - I have a route planned that includes the section you rode from Little America to Green River, but I will be going the other direction - I will also have to ride I-80 shoulder for 2.5 miles till I exit on highway 30.

Things always get better in Wyoming.

Yes, the vibes approach worked much better on this one than the riding day before, when I tried and failed to find a good way around Park City .

Dogs that turned out to be trained professionals and the assurance that the rough road you've been riding would eventually lead to a paved road = major success in going with your VIBES.

Yes, I assume a large number of local residents agree with him, but there aren't that many of them in total. And lots of them moved from other states in recent years, specifically California. And this is a very touristy area, with people from all over the world visiting.

I just think it's terrible practice to mix politics and business, especially so blatantly.

During the 20 minutes I stood outside, none of the hundreds of cars passing by stopped at the store, for what it's worth.
