I can't imagine what an unbroken Brooks saddle feels like, especially taking one on a tour.
4 years agoThere's a world of difference between well-constructed but unpaved cycle paths and muddy, rocky, or sandy routes.
4 years agoI have my own ranking system for unpaved surfaces. Most of them rank pretty low.
4 years agoI find RWGPS does a decent job with route finding (better than my Garmin left to its own devices, I think). It would be nice of you could set priorities, though. Like ranking “scenic” above “shortest distance” or “minimize climbing”. I also wish there was some ranking system for unpaved surfaces.

Of all the bird feet I've seen, it's my favorite.

I'm still stuck on "I had the summer off". I and most others I knew worked all summer, every summer, to pay for university. Our parents would help out when we ran out of money, but nobody ever had the summer off. But then, none of us ever were drafted.
