We're getting pretty strong now, after 1000 miles, but not strong enough for 21% grades! Especially not carrying 25 kilos.

Oh, Bill's going to reprimand you.

What a beautiful road! I never get tired of photos of roads. All are different and all are enticing. They beckon me to go down them.

They had a golden opportunity to name the crossing road Hankey. What's wrong with the people who name roads anyway? I've always wondered if they are the same people who name paint colors. Now that I think of it, 'Golden Opportunity' would be a great name for a paint color. Excuse me for digressing.

Ugh! Sorry this day ended on a sour note.

Nothing like unnerving traffic and an excessive presence of cars to dampen the spirits.

Glad you had the prior day's ride to balance it out.

Here's to a more peaceful day tomorrow!

Another road that beckons ...

"Look at my beautiful tree-lined borders .. maybe there are more trees up ahead?"

Beautiful ride.

I can see where it would be challenging to edit video of this visually stimulating landscape!

That is a road that beckons!

"Come on and see what's beyond that bend ..."

Even I didn’t recognize myself. Probably the worst photo I’ve ever taken - home made haircut, the fullest beard I ever had, and I even look fat!

Would never have recognized you in that picture, Scott! I'll have to do a thing on my first bicycle adventures some day.

Yup. I have a feeling you wouldn’t be that happy here, even if there were temples and night markets. Pretty lumpy country.

OK, now this looks like northern Thailand, Laos, Vietnam.
