I’ve never really considered this ride, mostly because I dislike biking Ajo Way. It looks fine once you get far enough west though. I’ll have to add it onto the list for another year.

1 month agoThanks for noticing the Ramada art and, the fact someone ( homeless?) is also there. Too many people don’t see “these people” anymore, sadly.
1 month agoWhen you mentioned the trailer coming off the hitch, the first thing that came to mind was whether there might be a ball/hitch mismatch. I’ve never pulled a trailer so wasn’t sure. However, when we rented a tiny one from UHaul years ago (Al drove), they were very specific about the size of ball needed. I would have thought the same when you buy one.
1 month agoNate's is just down the street from me. I've heard good reports from several people. There's also a Chinese food in that same complex that I've eaten at several times.
On Houghton (accessible from the Houghton bridge bike path - near the stone horse artwork) is a Thai Restaurant, Luckie's. We ate there after riding from Sonoita to Tucson. It was delicious! Perhaps my opinion was influenced by the number of miles we rode that day, but Luckie's is on my list to try again.
It's probably not on your frequently ridden list, but they are paving the other side of the wash from Brandi Fenton Park at Dodge Street. That will take the congestion off of the section between there and the big mural. At least I hope they are going that far down. It's the logical connection.
You’re right about the west end of Aviation Way. We don’t die it much any more. A better option is to come in at the middle on the Treat Bicycle boulevard. East from there - at least to the Palo Verde overpass and its link to Julian Wash - it’s just fine.
1 month agoThis looks like a great loop. I’ve been gradually realizing what a great area this is developing into. I’d we come down again next year we’ll have to rethink where to base ourselves.
1 month agoYou’ve got it! And hold that thought when you get to Europe next, because you can claim a new bird. Europe doesn’t have snowy egrets, they have little egrets - but they look identical.
1 month agoOh, oh..guess my name “KAREN” is showing…😬😁
1 month agoNo, silly..I meant the slide was for YOU to use 🫣

The introduction you gave us to the new path in Marana was the key. Given all the driving we're doing to get to the Loop it sure would be handy if we stayed closer to it, but I really enjoy the community out here at the park.
