Jean-Marc Strydom commented on Vani

From ESPN:

The match between Scotland and South Africa at Murrayfield on November 24, 1951 has gone into the game's folklore, forever associated - possibly apocryphally - with the stunned Scottish fan whose comment on the final scoreline was 'we were lucky to get nil'.

AFAICR in the nineteen fifties the Boks beat Scotland 44 to nil!

We are so spoiled having the lovely sandy beaches in South Africa, same as you in Oz. At least with pebble beaches the insides of your cozzie doesn't fill up with sand. BTW, as I was typing this, Google's autocorrect changed cozzie into a rather rude Afrikaans word.

With a month less than planned in Turkey we have no need to rush through Georgia.

Tastes a bit like it too! My preferred hot beverage is coffee (Leigh calls me a coffee snob becausei am very partabout what coffee i drink) but when I drink tea I prefer something aromatic and light like a flowery orange pekoe.

I don't know if you knew or know Peter Gostelow, he was on crazyguy a long time ago. He has cycled all over Africa and much of Turkey. He is now in Georgia, I think in Tbilisi. If you are interested I think you can find him on Instagram. Maybe you aren't interested but I thought I would pass the information on.
I'm enjoying your journal a lot - I really admire your adventsuresome spirit!
