Rules and reminders for a trip to a laboratory for a periodic blood draw so that my rheumatologist can monitor my condition. 

Predecessor steps before visiting the facility for the draw:

• Locate a facility, and hopefully verify that they can perform both of the two types of tests that you need.
• Fax the fax number of the targeted facility to the Rheumatology department so that they can submit orders for the tests to it.  (Unclear yet if is needed every time, or if I can just take the referral documents with me to the next facility)
• Validate that the test referrals have been delivered to the testing lab so that the trip isn’t wasted.

Reminders on the day of the draw:

• Take a photo ID

• Take a credit card so that you can pay for the service

• Take identification info for the Rheumatologist: name of the doctor, name of the hospital, Fax number for the rheumatology department

• Take supporting documentation: fax cover sheet, ordered tests
• Validate the opening hours of the facility.
